THANKSGIVING WEEK | ISSUE 1

Hey Friend!!

Happy Thanksgiving week! The holiday season has truly begun! I don't know what's on your schedule or to do list this week but I pray that it's filled with love, joy, lots of your favorite yummy food, and wonderful memories!

As to why I've gathered us here, this isn't just the week of the big turkey (or whatever you serve on the fourth Thursday of November)β€”it's also a huge sales week. If you're like me, you're kind of weary of being sold to every minute of the day - I get it! But also, marketing is part of my job soooooooooo, sales kinda matter to me this time of year πŸ™ƒ So here's what I've decided to do: from today through Cyber Monday, you're going to receive a daily email from me and yes, I'll absolutely be sharing some deals that I think you might enjoy. But I also want to make sure I'm giving you something fun and free in every single emailβ€”recipes, playlists, resources, games, ideasβ€”things you can enjoy and use whether you buy anything or not. We're all ballin' on some kinda budget these days and I don't just want to shove sales in your faces. I want this week to feel less like a sales bombardment and more like a friend sharing her favorite things or stuff she's got her eye on! Some will be free, some will be on sale and somewhere, I hope you'll find something you'll enjoy or find useful!

So let's kick things off with something sweet πŸ˜‹

COOKIES

Okay, so here's the situation. I'm struggling between wanting to drop some unwanted poundage and craving cookies. I'mma just call it and say that I'm eating the calories and moving my body a little extra this week πŸ˜†. Who's with me?

I don't eat cookies very often but right now, I'm craving some and I think I'm going to try some new recipes! I've narrowed it down to these five I found on Pinterest:

  • French Salted Butter Cookies - these look like they'd be the perfect light, after dinner, or afternoon pick me up with a cup of whatever-hot-beverage-you-prefer. The ingredients list is super simple - 5 items. You might already have everything you need for these!
  • The BEST Cinnamon Roll Cookies - I've yet to make these so I'm not saying they're the best, the recipe lady is πŸ˜† The pictures look amazing though! I love a good, gooey cinnamon roll! I don't think I've had one in cookie form!
  • Incredible Gingerbread Oatmeal Cream Pies - What's more fall/winter holiday than gingerbread? And who doesn't love an oatmeal cream pie??? (If you don't, no shame, lol, I'm being dramatic! These look delish!!
  • Brown Butter Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookies - I've been baking most of my life and I'm sorry to say that I haven't yet made a brown butter cookie! This one is making my mouth water πŸ˜‹
  • Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies (Chocolate Snickerdoodles) - Listen, first of all, if you've never had Mexican hot chocolate, you need to! You're welcome ☺️ Second of all, a chocolate SNICKERDOODLE?? Have mercy!

My walking pad is going to see a lot more of me in the next several weeks πŸ˜† (I promise I didn't plan this but I just checked and the one I have is on sale right now!!!).

WELLNESS

Now let's be responsible adults and remember that with all the festivities, food, travel and late nights, etc. our immune systems need to remain in tip top shape in order to keep up and enjoy all the season has to bring. Steven and I both try to get ahead of anything by supplementing, and staying hydrated and rested. My mom also gave us some colloidal silver nasal spray. She said that if we felt anything creeping up, knock it out with the spray before it becomes anything. Here are a few things I'm keeping on hand this season (MaryRuth supplements are currently on sale)!!

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

If you need to create a little space and clarity before we head into the hustle and bustle of December, I have couple free resources that might help!

Both of them are available on my resource page β˜ΊοΈβ€‹

ADVENT

Advent is around the corner! If you were thinking about grabbing an Advent devotional or study, today would be the day to do it! I'm doing this one from the Daily Grace Co.

It's on sale along with a ton of other stuff this week! I recommend:

With every order today, they're including a lovely free pen set (while supplies last). And you can use code ELYSSAT10 for an additional 10% off!

And if you're looking for some Advent books, I have a few light recommendations (light recommendation means I own it but haven't read it/finished it yet or it's on my TBR).

I created an Advent version of my Bible study caddy and put assembled it on YouTube last week.

THE LIVE WELL NOTES CYBER MONDAY EDITION Hi Friend! I couldn't have planned this any better. Last week, as I was planning out these emails, I thought Monday would be a great day to talk about soup because I had a hunch I'd need to make some to use up leftover Thanksgiving turkey. First of all, yes, I was right and I'm headed to my kitchen after I publish this email. Second of all, the temperature has dropped and it is finally appropriately cold. Hello December πŸ˜†. Perfect soup weather! I don't...
