Free Advent Plans, Christmas Music, & lots of Cozy

THE LIVE WELL NOTES

THE 1ST DAY OF ADVENT

Hi Friend!

Thanksgiving week has ended and we've reached the first day of the Advent season! I pray that we carry our attitude of gratitude into December, with a healthy dose of expectation and longing πŸ’•

If you've been following my emails this past week, you know that I'm working through the Advent study from the Daily Grace Co. this season. If you didn't purchase it, don't worry, I've got two solutions -

  1. you can grab the digital copy 😁
  2. try a free plan

If you're on a budget or just simply want some free Advent options, I've scouted the internet and found some you might be interested in! I do have to say that I haven't read the content of the studies and plans I've listed below. I just searched for free Advent resources and selected the ones that looked promising. So please consider them soft recommendations ☺️.

Here we go!

FREE ADVENT PLANS

CHRISTMAS PLAYLISTS

I LOVE Christmas music and I love making Christmas playlists! I've got three to share with y'all. I'm always tinkering with them and I have a ton of songs I still need to add 😁

COZY COFFEE & COLORING

What is something you hope to do more of this season? For me, it's coloring, reading, and sewing. I've plenty to read and sew so coloring is what I'm gathering right now. I mentioned coloring in yesterday's email. I have a few coloring books I really enjoy and more that I have my eye on but I thought it would be fun to locate some free, cozy coloring pages on Pinterest. I put together a board if you're interested!

I also have a list of cozy and hygge items on Amazon. I have a few of these things but I'm interested in grabbing some more titles on hygge πŸ‘€ Remember, this is what cozy means to me - what's cozy to you? Shop your house (or your favorite retailers) and find some cozy you'll love!

Along with all that coloring, reading, and sewing I want to try some new coffee recipes. I'm not a big caffeine drinker, normally but I loooooooove the taste of coffee and enjoy my decaf!

I like getting coffee out but ever since we bought our Ninja coffee maker, I've been making my coffee at home way more (which my wallet prefers πŸ˜†). If I get a chance, I'm going to update my coffee station situation in our kitchen. I created a list of some of the things I'm considering getting (along with what I already have).

You can check out my list here (our Ninja coffee maker as well as my favorite Peets espresso pods are on sale).

Currently, my coffee hyper fixation is espresso with Fairlife chocolate milk, iced. Sooooooo simple and soooooooo good 🀀. But I'm looking to experiment soooooo I'ma start a Pinterest board (if I don't already have one... I need to check!)

Oh!!!! And don't forget to grab a copy of my Cozy Project resource if you haven't yet!

SHOPPING

Last but not least, it's too early to be specific but both the Daily Grace Co. and Cultivate are still going strong with their free gifts! Check back later this afternoon, that's all I can say ☺️

This being the first Sunday of Advent, we're at the beginning of the liturgical calendar. I didn't grow up in a liturgical church culture but I've enjoyed learning more about the church calendar and considering the ways I can be slower and more intentional in my spiritual growth and practice through the year. If you'd like to learn more about the liturgical calendar, check out the Church Calendar book.

Remember, if you're interested in any of the year long studies from DGC, they're on sale and I'm pretty sure this is the last time they'll be discounted this low this year.

I hope you have a lovely Sunday! I'll be back tomorrow for Cyber Monday!!!

Grace & Peace,

soup in white ceramic bowl

THE LIVE WELL NOTES CYBER MONDAY EDITION Hi Friend! I couldn't have planned this any better. Last week, as I was planning out these emails, I thought Monday would be a great day to talk about soup because I had a hunch I'd need to make some to use up leftover Thanksgiving turkey. First of all, yes, I was right and I'm headed to my kitchen after I publish this email. Second of all, the temperature has dropped and it is finally appropriately cold. Hello December πŸ˜†. Perfect soup weather! I don't...
